Well, I haven't written a journal in a long time, so after re-reading my last one, I realized that a lot of time has passed. Like almost a month... Soooooo, here's what's been going on with me. I was a C.I.T. at a summer camp, and that was awesome, so I'm planning to go back next year. We had some fun times after all the campers had gone to bed *sigh*.
Other than that, I went kayaking twice last week, and got a blister on my thumb, but other than that was no worse for wear. See, I always thought that it was pathetic that when other people were complaining of sore muscles the day after kayaking, the only thing I had to show for it was a blister where the paddle kept rubbing my thumb... And that should have been reversed, because even when everyone else had two-person kayaks with half the work and twice the speed, I still outstripped them!!! Dang Alaska-born stamina...
Oh!!! And while we were at camp we caught frogs!!! Nals caught a huge one, and I caught like 50 small ones and put them in my coat pockets. They were so cute!!! And they didn't 'croak' or 'ribbit'. They made these adorable little chirruping sounds! But instead of letting them loose in the cabins, we had to let them go becuase Adri convinced me that they'd dry out and die... I know you're thinking something like "Big whoop. You caught some frogs. Yippee..." but it's a big deal to me! I never got to catch frogs when I was little, so it brought out my inner 4-year-old, and I have now satisfied my lifelong frog-capturing desire that I am sure we are all secretly born with.
Aside form all the frog excitement, though, I'm really kind of bummed; I haven't seen any of my really close friends in a while, so I'm hoping I can ambush Nat this week and convince her that I haven't evaporated off the face of the Earth from lacking human contact... *sigh*. I'm rambling now, so I'll just cut this short. Questions, anyone?
